1. INTRODUCTION

Warranty & Return Tracker ("we," "our," or "us") provides a mobile application designed to help you organize shopping documentation and track deadlines. We operate under a "Local-First" privacy model. Most data lives exclusively on your device.

2. DATA PROCESSING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

To provide receipt parsing and document generation, we utilize the Google Gemini API.

• Paid Enterprise Tier: We use the Paid/Enterprise tier of the Gemini API. Under this tier, your documents, images, and text are NOT used to train Google’s Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Stateless Proxy: Our backend server (located in the USA) acts as a transient proxy. Once the AI extracts the data and transmits it back to your device, all files and processed text are permanently deleted from our server immediately. We do not maintain a cloud database of your personal receipts or purchase history.
• Inaccuracy Disclosure: AI processing of tickets, bills, and invoices is not 100% accurate. The extraction process may result in errors, omissions, or "hallucinations."

3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (EEA/UK USERS)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, we process your data based on Contractual Necessity. We cannot provide the AI-parsing or Claim Pack features without transiently processing your uploaded documents.

4. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

By using the App, you acknowledge that your data will be processed on servers located in the United States. We ensure your data is handled securely and in accordance with this policy during this transient processing phase.

5. DATA STORAGE AND RIGHTS

• Local Storage: Your purchase history and attachments are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data.
• User Rights: Under the GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data. Since we do not store your data on our servers, you may exercise these rights by managing or deleting the data directly within the App.
